Banana nut muffins and sweet potato pie are two recipes that use Truvia. Make these recipes using Truvia Brown Sugar Blend, Truvia Baking Blend or spoonable Truvia Natural Sweetener.
To make banana nut muffins, combine 2 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of rolled oats, 1/4 cup of walnuts, 3 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of Truvia Brown Sugar Blend. Stir until the crumbs are consistent. Mash 2 large bananas, and add 1/4 teaspoon of melted butter, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 egg. Next, add 2 tablespoons of Truvia Baking Blend and 1 cup of flour. Mix well, and spoon the ingredients into muffin liners. Top them with the crumb topping, and bake the ingredients at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
To make a sweet potato pie, prick 3 sweet potatoes with a fork, and bake them for 60 to 75 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Let them cool, and scoop the potato flesh into a bowl. Mash the potatoes, and add 1/4 cup of melted butter. Whisk 1/3 cup plus 2 teaspoons of spoonable Truvia Natural Sweetener, 3/4 cup of skim milk, 3 eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Whisk in 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1/8 teaspoon of allspice. Add the mixture to the mashed potatoes, and mix well. Transfer the ingredients to a pie crust, and bake it for 35 to 45 minutes.
