Some recipes that use Millstone coffee include Millstone caramel latte, Millstone chocolate maple cake with chocolate maple mousse, Millstone tiramisu parfaits, Millstone coffee-infused southern style pulled pork and Millstone 3 bean java chili. Millstone Lady Baltimore cake with mocha frosting, Millstone smoked ham with coffee-orange glaze, Millstone hot mocha sipper and Millstone coffee caramel flan are other recipes that use Millstone coffee.
To make Millstone 3 bean java chili, cook 1 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of chopped onion and 2 teaspoons of minced garlic in a 6-quart saucepan over medium heat until meat is browned. Drain the fat from the meat, and stir in 1 cup of brewed Millstone French roast coffee, 2 to 3 teaspoons of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves, along with a 28-ounce can of diced tomatoes with mild green chiles. Drain and rinse one 15-ounce can each of black beans, pinto beans and kidney beans, and add them to the chili.
Cover the chili, and simmer for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. To serve, ladle the hot chili into bowls, and top with desired garnishes, such as shredded cheddar cheese, sliced green onions and tortilla chips. The recipes makes eight servings.
