"The Marilyn Denis Show" features recipes for a variety of occasions, from brunch and snacks to light lunches and hearty dinners. For instance, there are some sweet breakfast dishes such as boozy baked French toast with almonds, and savory ones such as smoked salmon cheesecake.
To make a smoked salmon cheesecake, first mix together 1 cup of crushed whole wheat crackers, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup of melted butter for the crust. Press it into the bottom and sides of a springform pan. Next, beat 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 3 8-ounce packages of softened cream cheese before adding 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Mix in 8 ounces of smoked salmon, 2 tablespoons of chopped chives and 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley. Pour the cream cheese onto the crust and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 to 40 minutes. Garnish with more smoked salmon and fresh dill sprigs before serving.
