Upside-down pizza, Idaho tacos and meatloaf are some recipes made with hamburger that are easy to prepare and nutritious. Each of these recipes takes 45 minutes or fewer to prepare.
Upside-down pizza requires browning 1 pound of ground beef, 1 diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves. Add an 8-ounce package of sliced mushrooms, 4 ounces of sliced black olives, 5 ounces of pepperoni and a 15-ounce can of pizza sauce to the mixture, and heat it thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a baking dish, and top it with 4 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese and 1 can of large biscuits broken into pieces. The baking time is 15 to 18 minutes or until the biscuits brown and the mixture is bubbly.
Idaho tacos require 4 large baked potatoes and 1 pound of browned hamburger with a package of taco seasoning. Cut open the potatoes, stuff them with taco meat, and top them with shredded cheddar cheese and green onions. Serve salsa and sour cream on the side as optional toppings.
To make meatloaf, combine 1 1/2 pounds of hamburger with 3/4 cups of bread crumbs, 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of diced onions and 2 slightly beaten eggs. Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of sage. Blend the mixture into a loaf, and top it with the desired glaze. Bake the loaf at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.
