Some recipes that include papayas are papaya and feta salad, green papaya salad and lemongrass chicken, and avocado and papaya salad. To make avocado and papaya salad, cut 2 avocados and papayas into 1/2-inch thick slices. In a bowl, mix together 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of sugar, 1/8 teaspoon each of black and cayenne pepper, 1/4 cup of olive oil, and the zest and juice of 1 lime, and spoon the mixture over the avocado and papaya slices.
Make a papaya and feta salad by seeding and dicing 1 large papaya into pieces and combining it with 1/2 cup of chopped fresh mint leaves in a bowl. Combine 3 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil, 4 tablespoons of lime juice and 1 tablespoon of honey in a bowl, whisking until well blended, and pour it over the papaya mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste, and toss everything well. Serve the papaya topped with 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese.
To make a papaya smooth, place 1 peeled, seeded and diced papaya in a blender with 1 sliced banana, 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries and 15 ice cubes. Blend the mixture until a puree forms, and pour the smoothie into glasses. Top the smoothies with small pineapple wedges and maraschino cherries before serving.
