Popular crescent roll appetizer recipes include bacon appetizer crescents and Buffalo chicken crescent puffs. Bacon appetizers blend cream cheese with Parmesan cheese and onions. Buffalo chicken appetizers are spiced with hot sauce and include chicken pieces.
Make bacon appetizers by combining 1 package softened cream cheese with 8 slices crumbled cooked bacon and 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Stir in 1/4 cup finely chopped onions, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley and 1 tablespoon of milk. Separate 2 cans of crescent rolls into two groups of eight triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise in half and spread with 1 teaspoon filling mixture. Starting at the shortest side roll up triangles, place on a baking sheet, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
To make Buffalo chicken appetizers, line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Combine 12 ounces cream cheese with 2 tablespoons hot sauce, 1/3 cup blue cheese and 1/4 cup finely chopped celery. Add 1 cup finely chopped cooked chicken breast, and shape into 32 balls. Remove two cans of crescent rolls from the package without separating, and cut them into 16 rounds. Spoon them filling mixture into rounds and enclose inside dough.
Combine 1 cup panko bread crumbs with 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter, and dip each round into crumb mixture. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet, and bake until golden brown.
