Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Thousand Island Dressing and Bacon
This recipe for grilled cheese sandwiches with Thousand Island dressing and bacon produces four sandwiches.

- 4 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing
- 8 strips bacon
- 2 tablespoons or more unsalted butter
- 12 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- Cook the bacon
- Heat butter in pan
- Add bread to the pan
- Top the bread and flip
- Cook until cheese melts and repeat
Cook the bacon in a pan until crisp. After the bacon is done, wipe the skillet.
Heat the 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan until it melts.
Place two slices of the sourdough bread in the pan to begin cooking the sandwiches.
Place a couple of ounces of cheese and some bacon on the pieces of bread. Coat two other pieces of bread with the Thousand Island dressing. Place these on top of the pieces of bread in the skillet, and flip.
Cook until the cheese melts and the two pieces of bread have a golden color. Repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients.
Slice the sandwiches in half to create pieces that are easier to pick up and eat.
