To make a shrimp and crab dip similar to the signature appetizer at Uno's, combine an 8-ounce block of cream cheese, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream and 1/4 cup mayonnaise in a sauce pan. Bring to a simmer, and whisk until smooth.
Stir in 1 tablespoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon each of thyme and parsley, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic salt. Mix in 10 tailed, deveined and halved cocktail shrimp and two 6-ounce cans of crab meat. Stir to an even consistency.
Pour the crab and shrimp mixture into an oven-safe dish. Grate enough fresh Parmesan over the dish to create a cheesy crust. Place in a 425 F oven for 10 minutes. Remove when the dish is bubbling or cheese has browned.
To prepare bread to serve with dip, slice a baguette in half, and brush with 1/4 cup melted butter per half. Sprinkle garlic powder or garlic salt to taste. Toast on a baking sheet in the oven until the bread is golden brown.
For the topping, dice and seed two Roma tomatoes, and toss with 1 tablespoon each of olive oil and basil.
Serve the dish with the tomato mixture sprinkled on top of the dip and toasted bread slices on the side.
