The preparation of a roast beef brine involves collecting ingredients such as a ribeye, pepper, sugar, salt, water and ice cubes. The cooking process as a whole involves combining the various ingredients as well as brining, boiling and finally roasting the beef.
Three pounds of eye of round, 1 tablespoon sea salt, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 5 tablespoons of sugar, 5 tablespoons of sea salt and 2 tablespoons of ginger powder are necessary ingredients for the brine. Other necessary components include 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 2 1/2 teaspoons of ground black pepper, 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder, 1 1/2 cups of water and 3 cups of ice cubes.
The cooking procedure involves combining all the brining ingredients except the ice cubes, 1 tablespoon sea salt, 3 pounds of ribeye and the black pepper. Place the combined ingredients in a saucepan on the stove. Bring it to a boil for two minutes. Arrange the ice cubes in a large mixing bowl, and after pouring the boiling mixture into the bowl, stir. Place the beef in a re-sealable bag. Pour the brine mixture in the bag, and after sealing it, place it in the refrigerator, allowing it to brine for 16 to 20 hours.
After brining the meat, discard the brine, and preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Rub the meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder, and place it in the roasting rack. For each pound, roast for 23 to 27 minutes. Remove the meat from the oven, and let it rest for 12 to 15 minutes. Carve the roast beef, and serve.
