Pumpkin Spice Cake
The fall season means eating plenty of holiday treats like pumpkin spice cake. This recipe makes a delicious, moist cake that is ideally paired with a honey frosting.

- 15 ounce canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- Mix the dry ingredients
- Mix the wet ingredients
- Bake and cool
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl.
Whisk the eggs, sugar, butter and pumpkin puree in another large bowl until well combined. Add the dry mixed ingredients into the wet mixed ingredients. Mix gently until the mixture is well-combined with no lumps.
Butter a 9-inch square cake pan. Pour the cake mixture into the pan and place into the oven. Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes. When it is done, a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake will come out mostly clean. Allow the cake to cool before icing or eating.
