Peanut butter balls contain peanut butter, graham crackers and powdered sugar. These treats are not baked, so they can easily be made for a snack without the oven.
Peanut Butter Balls
Made from mostly peanut butter, these high-protein balls are filling and sweet. Topped with chocolate they make an excellent candy for special holidays.
Prep Time: 1 hr.
Cook Time: 3 min.
Total Time: 1 hr., 3 min.
- 18 oz., peanut butter
- 16 oz., powdered sugar
- 1 1/3 c., graham cracker crumbs
- 3/4 c., unsalted butter
- 12 oz., milk chocolate
- Mix the ingredients
- Scoop the balls and refrigerate
- Dip into chocolate
Put the peanut butter, powdered sugar, graham crackers and butter into a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
Scoop up pieces of the dough and roll into 1-inch diameter balls. Place the balls in a shallow casserole dish, plastic container lined with wax paper or on a cookie sheet. Place the container into the refrigerator to allow the dough to harden.
Heat the chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stove top until melted. Dip the hardened peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate to give them a chocolate coating. Just the top may be coated, or cover the entire peanut butter ball with chocolate. Place them back in the container to allow the chocolate to harden or place them in miniature paper cupcake forms for display.
