Add 3 cups of water, two 15-ounce cans of tomato sauce and two 15-ounce cans of diced tomatoes to the pot. Stir well to incorporate all of the ingredients, cover with lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
After around 20 minutes, add 2 cups of elbow macaroni to the pot, stir well and return the lid to the pot. Let the noodles simmer for about 30 minutes, then turn off the heat, remove the bay leaves, and let it sit for about 30 more minutes before serving.
