To prepare Paula Deen's "Bobby's Goulash" recipe, begin by browning 2 pounds of lean ground beef in a Dutch oven over medium heat. When it is no longer pink, drain any fat and add two chopped yellow onions and three cloves of garlic. Continue cooking until the vegetables are tender.
Add 3 cups of water, two 15-ounce cans of tomato sauce and two 15-ounce cans of diced tomatoes to the pot. Add 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning, three bay leaves, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of Paula's House seasoning and 1 tablespoon of seasoned salt. Stir well to incorporate all of the ingredients, cover with lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
After around 20 minutes, add 2 cups of elbow macaroni to the pot, stir well and return the lid to the pot. Let the noodles simmer for about 30 minutes, then turn off the heat, remove the bay leaves, and let it sit for about 30 more minutes before serving.
To prepare Paula's House seasoning, mix together one part each of pepper and garlic powder to four parts salt. The seasoning can be made in any desired quantity, and may it be stored in an airtight container for up to six months.
