A zesty oven-fried chicken recipe from Kraft uses chicken cut into pieces, dipped in an egg wash, and rolled in a Parmesan-cheese-seasoned coating. Another recipe from Campbell’s involves dipping the chicken in Campbell’s cream-of-chicken soup and stuffing mix.
To make oven-fried chicken, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine 1/3 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt and a dash of pepper. Add the cut-up chicken, and toss to coat completely.
Mix together 1 egg and 2 tablespoons of water, and set aside. In a shallow pan, combine 1/2 cup of crushed corn flakes and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese. Dip the flour-coated chicken into the egg wash and then into the cheese mixture. Place the chicken in a baking dish.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter, and sprinkle it over the coated chicken in the baking pan. Place the baking pan into the oven, and bake it for 60 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
Another recipe for oven-fried chicken uses 1 1/4 pound of boneless chicken breasts and coats the chicken in 2 tablespoons of flour and a mixture made of 1/4 cup of milk and 1/3 cup of cream-of-chicken soup. Dip the coated chicken into the mixture and then into 1 1/2 cups of crushed seasoned stuffing mix, and place it in a baking dish. Bake the chicken at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
