To make millionaire candy, butter foil-lined baking sheets or waxed paper. Mix caramels with milk, and melt over low heat while stirring. Remove from the heat, and add pecans. Melt chocolate chips and paraffin over low heat, then place the mixture on the waxed paper. Allow the candy to dry at room temperature.
Gather ingredients such as 42 Kraft caramels, 3 tablespoons evaporated milk, 2 cups pecan chunks, 6 to 8 regular Hershey milk chocolate bars and 1/3 bar of paraffin. Melt the caramel and the evaporated milk in a microwave for two minutes. Make sure that melting takes place evenly.
Alternatively, melt the caramels in milk while stirring the mixture over low heat. After melting entirely, remove the mixture from the heat, and add pecans. Place the caramel, milk and pecan mixture carefully on a well-buttered wax paper a teaspoonful at a time. Leave the pieces to firm at room temperature.
The next step is to melt the chocolate bars and paraffin in a double boiler. Alternatively, use a skillet with water in it and a heavy pot sitting in the water. Add paraffin in small bits. Dip caramel, milk and pecan mixture in the melted chocolate. Cool the mixture at room temperature, and then refrigerate for storage.
