To make Jell-O shots, mix Jell-O powder with boiling water, stir, add in cold water and alcohol, and pour into 2-ounce cups or shot glasses. Some people like to experiment with different colors, flavors and shapes to give their Jell-O shots a fun and unique look.
One 3-ounce package of Jell-O, one cup of boiling water, a 1/2 cup of cold water and a 1/2 cup of vodka are the basic ingredients you need to make Jell-O shots. A large bowl, plastic cups or shooters and a measuring cup are also helpful. Begin by emptying the Jell-O pouch into the large bowl and adding the cup of boiling water. Stir the contents of the bowl for two minutes or until the Jell-O is completely dissolved. Next, add the cold water and vodka (or whichever kind of alcohol is being used for the shots), and stir to combine.
Once the Jell-O shot mix is ready, pour it into the serving containers. If there are not any suitable containers to serve the shots with, the mixture can be eaten directly out of the bowl. The shots will need to be refrigerated for a couple of hours or until the shots are solid. If the shots are not given the time to solidify, they will be too runny and do not mask the flavor of the liquor as well.
