Some recipes for Lipton onion soup meatloaf can be found on recipes.sparkpeople.com, food.com or southernfood.com. All websites received high ratings by the reviewers. This meal takes about 10 minutes to prepare and 60 minutes to cook. It makes approximately eight servings.
The ingredients for this recipe are, 1 package of Lipton's Onion Soup mix, 2 pounds of extra lean ground beef, 3/4 cup of plain dry bread crumbs, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup of water and 1/3 cup of ketchup. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Make sure the eggs are mixed in to the meat pretty well and the yolks are broken.
In a baking pan, preferably 13x9 size, pour the mixture and then shape it into a loaf. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately one hour, or until the meat is brown all the way through. Once removed, allow the loaf to cool for at least 10 minutes. If the meatloaf is sliced before it is cooled, it remains runny and soft so it is very important to let it cool before sliced and served.
You may choose to add fresh bread crumbs from a few slices of bread prior to baking.
