To make Eagle Brand's recipe for classic Key lime pie, preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs with 2 tablespoons sugar. Add 5 tablespoons melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan to create the crust. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the crust just begins to brown. Remove from the oven. In a bowl, whisk 2 14-ounce cans sweetened condensed milk, 2/3 cup fresh lime juice and 1/3 cup sour cream until well blended. Stir in 2 teaspoons grated lime peel. Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake for seven to 10 minutes or until small bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the filling. Remove from the oven, and set aside to cool.
To make the pie topping, combine 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until stiff. Top the cooled pie with whipped cream, and refrigerate for at least one hour. Serve fresh and chilled.
