Stir in one 4-ounce can drained chopped green chilies, �� cup salsa and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese. Remove the crusts from two loaves thinly-sliced sandwich bread. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon cheese mixture on each slice of a loaf of bread. Top with bread slices from the remaining loaf; spread on the additional cheese mixture.
Cut each sandwich into four squares, and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 350 F.
Another cheese square recipe is Taste of Home���s Cinnamon Cream Cheese Squares. To make this recipe, begin by unrolling a tube of refrigerated crescent rolls. Place the rolls onto a lightly greased 13-inch by 9-inch baking pan. Seal the rolls��� seams and perforations; set aside. Beat two 8-ounce packages softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the rolls. Unroll another tube of refrigerated crescent rolls and stretch to cover the cream cheese mixture. Brush 1/4 cup melted butter on top of the dough.
