Begin by preheating the oven to 500 F. Add the lime juice, ginger, soy sauce, shallot and cilantro to a small bowl, along with 3 teaspoons of the olive oil. For peak flavor, use real lime juice and freshly chopped and grated ginger. Whisk all the ingredients together into a sauce and momentarily set it aside.
Brush the rest of the oil inside a 9-inch baking dish and place the fish inside. Turn the fish over once to ensure a modest coating of the oil. Season the fish with salt and pepper to taste, drizzle it with 1/2 tablespoon of the prepared sauce and place it inside the preheated oven. Bake for 12 minutes and ensure that the fish is done before removing it. It should be completely opaque in the center.
If finished, remove the dish from the oven and coat the fish with the remaining sauce. Serve the fish with steamed rice and snow peas sautéed in sesame oil for a fully Asian-inspired plate.Learn more about Seafood
