A recipe for baked halibut is the Food Network's Baked Halibut containing lemon, olive oil, paprika and halibut. Cut 1 pound of fresh halibut into two pieces, and place them in a dish with the juice from 1 fresh lemon for 20 to 30 minutes. Rub 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of paprika over the fish, and bake it at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 15 minutes
Make Roasted Halibut with Lemons, Olive and Rosemary, another recipe for baked halibut, by rubbing 2 8-ounce halibut fillets with 1 teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil, kosher salt to taste and ground chile pepper to taste. Place the fish on a baking sheet, and top each fillet with 1 rosemary branch, 1/2 lemon cut into slices and 1/4 cup of sliced and pitted calamata olives. Drizzle everything with 1/2 teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil, and bake the fish at 450 F for 10 minutes with a minute or two underneath the broiler to aid in browning the lemon slices and fish.
Another recipe suggests making a zucchini, onion and garlic mixture and spreading that on top of the fish while it bakes. To make the mixture, sauté 1 cup of diced zucchini, 1/2 cup of minced onion and 1 minced garlic clove in 1 teaspoon of olive oil for five minutes, and then combine it with 2 cups of diced fresh tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh basil, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. After topping the halibut steaks with the mixture and 1/3 cup of crumbled feta cheese, bake them at 450 F for 15 minutes.
