Raley's is a family-owned chain of supermarkets with stores in northern California and Nevada. Founded in Placerville, California, in 1935, Raley's operates 138 stores under the name Raley's, Nob Hill Foods, Food Source and Bel Air. Raley's also operates 11 Aisle 1 gas stations as of May 2015.
Raley's Family of Fine Stores partners with Prairie Grove Farms, Chef's Menu and other vendors to offer humanely grown meats and sustainable seafood products. Some Raley's stores have pharmacies that offer seasonal flu shots.
Raley's founder Tom Raley introduced the first self-serve, pre-packaged meat department in 1947. In 1973, Raley's acquired the Eagle Thrifty grocery store chain in Nevada and rebranded the stores as Raley's. In 1986, Raley's established a not-for-profit service organization called Food for Families to help feed hungry families.
