For a quick recipe, gather one package of crescent rolls, 1 pound ground beef, a package of taco seasoning, sour cream, 8 ounces shredded cheese and a bag of tortilla chips. For another recipe, organize the same amounts of beef and seasoning, 3/4 cups water and a few other ingredients.
For the first recipe, layer the crescent rolls on the bottom of a cake pan, and bake according to the instructions on the packaging. At the same time, brown the meat in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, sprinkling in seasoning and stirring well. Place the mixture inside the cake pan containing the baked crescent rolls, and top with sour cream, cheese and crushed tortilla chips. Set the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and bake for approximately 10 minutes or until the cheese has visibly melted.
For the second recipe, also gather six eggs, a cup of heavy cream, two garlic cloves and 1 cup cheese. Begin the meat and seasoning similarly, but add water with the seasoning and reduce to medium-low heat, and allow the sauce to thicken. Grease a baking dish, and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the beef into the dish, and integrate the eggs, cream, garlic salt and pepper in a mixing bowl, and pour over the beef. Top with the shredded Mexican cheese and bake for approximately 30 minutes. Allow the pie to stand for at least five minutes before slicing it. Serve with additional cheese, sour cream, diced tomato and avocado.
