An easy recipe using Hormel canned corned beef is cheesy corned beef. This flavorful open-faced sandwich recipe serves four people and can be ready in 30 minutes.
To make this recipe, you must gather one 15-ounce can of Hormel Mary Kitchen Corned Beef Hash, 1/4 cup chopped celery, 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, 2 tablespoons chili sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder. You also need four English muffins and four 1-ounce slices of cheese.
Put the corned beef hash and celery in a large bowl. Add the bell pepper, chili sauce and chili powder. Mix the ingredients well. Split the English muffins into halves, and toast them. Then spread the hash mixture onto each of the muffin halves. Place them on an ungreased baking sheet, and bake them in a 375-degree oven for 10 minutes. Cut each slice of cheese into four triangles, then place two triangles on top of each English muffin. Bake for five more minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
You can add more or less cheese, according to your taste. You can also substitute the English muffins for whole wheat muffins or gluten-free bread. Sprinkle with parsley as a garnish, if you like.
