Simply combine 1 cup of ketchup, 1/4 cup of cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of molasses, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon of water in a small saucepan. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt. Simmer the barbecue sauce over low heat for three to five minutes.
