Some quick and easy party foods include Better Homes and Gardens' Four-Cheese Pimiento Dip, Real Simple's Big Spicy Meatballs and Martha Stewart's Creamy Deviled Eggs. Each recipe takes less than 30 minutes to prepare and only requires a few steps to complete.
To make Four-Cheese Pimiento Dip, start by beating 3 ounces of softened cream cheese. Then beat in 8 ounces of extra-sharp shredded cheddar and white cheddar cheese, and 4 ounces of shredded Gruyere cheese. Mix in 1 cup of mayonnaise and a 4-ounce jar of diced pimientos. Then, add in 1/2 cup of finely chopped green pepper, 1/3 cup of finely chopped onion, a minced jalapeño, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Additional ingredients, such as bacon, toasted pecans or diced tomatoes, can be mixed in to the dip. Serve with celery and carrot sticks, pita chips and crackers.
For the Creamy Deviled Eggs, first hard boil 8 eggs. While the eggs are cooking, combine 1/3 cup of light mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon of white wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon of minced shallot and 1/4 teaspoon of hot sauce. Peel the hard boiled eggs, cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks. Add the yolks to the mayonnaise mixture, and season with salt and pepper. Spoon the yolk mixture into the egg whites, and top with paprika.
