Meatball bubble biscuits, clam dip and decorated devil eggs are just three ideas for quick and easy appetizers. The prep time on all of these is fairly low, making it easy to get ready for a party.
Meatball bubble biscuits involve putting half a frozen cooked meatball and a piece of string cheese in the middle of half a refrigerated canned biscuit, rolled up into a ball. Arranging the dough balls in an ungreased cooking pan, sprinkling with desired seasonings and baking for 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees F complete the work. Marinara sauce makes a delicious dip.
Clam dip requires beating 16 ounces of cream cheese until it has a smooth texture. Adding two cans of minced clams and a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce (along with about 3/4 of the juice from the cans) and then stirring finish the dip. Refrigerating for an hour or two lets the flavor work its way through the whole mixture. Pretzel rods, tortilla chips and baby carrots make good foods for dipping.
The key with decorating devil eggs comes after finishing the eggs. After putting the yolk mixture back into the empty egg whites, adding a special topping such as a salad shrimp through a black olive slice gives guests something to admire for its visual effect as well as its taste.
