Sysco offers a wide variety of food products and food service supplies, including meat and poultry, seafood, produce, beverages, imported foods, spices, kitchen equipment, cleaning supplies and paper products. Most of Sysco's offerings are sold through private label brands.
Private label brands sold through Sysco include White Marble Farms, Portico, Casa Solana, Citavo and EarthPlus. Sysco sells fruits and vegetables under its own company name; these products use the Sysco Natural branding.
Sysco is the world's largest food distributor; the company sells food and kitchen supplies to hotels, hospitals, schools, restaurants and other institutional customers, and has over 400,000 clients in the United States and Canada as of 2015. Sysco does not market its products in retail stores, and does not sell products to individual customers. Purchasing Sysco products directly requires an application and credit check, and Sysco only delivers to business addresses.
The only way for individuals to do business with Sysco is through one of the company's discount outlets. These stores do not require a membership or business verification, and accept personal checks and other non-business forms of payment. Sysco's discount outlets do not sell their products online; customers must visit their stores in person to make purchases.
