To freeze bananas, peel and slice the fruit and place on a baking sheet. Freeze the bananas for one hour. Remove the bananas from the freezer, place partially frozen pieces in an airtight freezer bag and return bananas to the freezer.

Cut bananas into half-inch medallions.
- Place pieces on a baking sheet
Place the medallions in a single layer. To avoid sticking, don't allow the pieces to touch each other.
- Freeze banana pieces
Freeze the banana pieces for one hour. Do not cover the sliced bananas.
- Remove from freezer and place in freezer bags
Place the banana pieces in a flat layer in a freezer bag or an airtight storage container.
- Put the freezer bags into the freezer
Layer bags flat on the freezer drawers. Bananas can be stored in the freezer for up to eight months.
