To prepare Jell-O instant pudding, combine 2 cups of cold milk with Jell-O mix in a medium bowl. Whip with a wire whisk or electric beater for two minutes. Pour into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for five minutes or until ready to consume. One box makes four 1/2 cup servings.
To make chocolate swirl pops using Jell-O instant pudding, use a wire whisk to beat 2 cups of cold milk with one 3.9 ounce package of Jell-O chocolate flavored instant pudding. Separately, repeat the procedure with a 3.4 ounce package of Jell-O vanilla flavored instant pudding. Alternate spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate pudding into 12 paper or plastic 5 ounce cups. Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl the pudding together and cover with aluminum foil. Poke a wooden Popsicle stick or plastic spoon into the center of each cup prior to freezing for four hours or until hardened.
Immediately prior to serving, remove the swirl pops from the freezer and discard the cups. Melt 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips according to package directions, and pour the melted chocolate into a small custard cup or measuring cup. Mix with 1 tablespoon of oil. Submerge each swirl pop halfway into the chocolate sauce and then place on waxed paper. Allow the chocolate coating to become firm before serving. Freeze any uneaten pops.
