To prepare an easy chicken and rice dish, combine a can of mushroom soup with water, rice, spices and chicken breasts in a baking dish. After baking for 45 minutes and cooling for 10, this dish is ready to be served.
To make an easy chicken and rice dish, pour 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of water or chicken stock, 3/4 cup of uncooked long grain white rice, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper into an 11-by-8-by-2-inch casserole dish and stir. Then, place 1 1/4 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast halves into the dish. Season with more paprika and black pepper to taste.
Place the dish in an oven that has been preheated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and cook for approximately 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked all the way through and the rice is tender. Let the dish stand for 10 minutes before stirring the rice and serving. Some other ingredients that can be added to this dish include chopped onions and garlic, sliced mushrooms, broccoli, green beans or corn. It can also be topped with some shredded cheese, seasoned, crushed bread crumbs or French fried onions.
