A popular Kraft recipe using Certo is Certo Strawberry Jam; it calls for strawberries, sugar, butter and Certo fruit pectin. Some other recipes include Cooked Raspberry Jelly, Cooked Plum Jam and No-Cook Light Blueberry Jam.
To make Certo Strawberry Jam, cook 2 quarts of stemmed and crushed strawberries and 7 cups of sugar in a saucepan. Once the mixture begins to foam, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of butter, and bring everything to a boil. Add 1 pouch of Certo fruit pectin, and stir it often.
Once the mixture returns to a boil, remove it from the heat, and spoon off any foam. Pour the jam into a jar, and serve cooled. To store the jam, pour it into a sterilized canning jar, and boil it in water for 10 minutes.
Make No-Cook Light Blueberry Jam by crushing 6 cups of blueberries and placing them into a bowl. The 6 cups of blueberries should equal 4 cups of crushed blueberries. Stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 box of Certo light pectin crystals, and allow the mixture to stand for 30 minutes.
Stir the jam regularly during the 30 minutes, and then add in 3 more cups of sugar. Stir the mixture constantly until the sugar dissolves, and pour the jam into a covered container.
