Using sales as an indicator, the most popular candy in the world is M&Ms. Not only are M&Ms the most popular candy in the world, M&Ms are the most popular candy in the United States.
The second most popular candy in the world is Cadbury's milk chocolate, which is manufactured in Great Britain. Yahoo Finance reports that the British are second in the world only to the Swiss in candy consumption. Ironically, although the Swiss are the biggest consumers of candy in the world, there are no Swiss-manufactured candies in the list of top 10 best-selling candies in the world. The remaining spots are occupied by candies manufactured in Germany, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, France, Italy and China. Of the remaining top 10 best-selling candies, five of them are chewing gum.
