When buying peanut butter, choose a brand that has little to no added fat, sugar or sodium. Avoid those with partially hydrogenated oils and trans fats to receive the optimum health benefits. It should also be noted that the peanut allergy is the most common food allergy, and it can produce very severe or fatal reactions in those who are allergic.
