To make Paula Deen's baked spaghetti recipe, boil water, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings in a stockpot, and simmer everything over low heat for one hour. Add crumbled ground beef in a large skillet, cooking until the pink color disappears, and drain the fat, adding the beef into the stockpot to simmer. Next, cook the pasta, and pour the sauce on a pan. Add layers of pasta and cheese and bake for 30 minutes, and bake again after topping with cheese.
After preheating an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, put the ingredients in a stockpot, including 2 cups diced canned tomatoes, 2 cups tomato sauce, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup diced onion and 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper. Add 2 chopped cloves garlic, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar and 2 bay leaves. Also, include 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, 1 1/2 teaspoons Paula Deen's Seasoned Salt and 1 1/2 teaspoons Paula Deen's House Seasoning.
Bring the ingredients to a boil over high heat before lowering the heat to simmer the mixture while covered. Next, cook 1 1/2 pounds crumbled ground beef over medium-high heat in a large skillet. After draining the fat, place the ground beef in the stockpot, simmering everything for another 20 minutes.
Pour the sauce into a 13-by-9-by-2-inch pan, and arrange layers of pasta and grated cheese with the sauce added last. Bake for 30 minutes. When fully baked, sprinkle more cheese on the casserole, and bake again until the cheese melts. Serve in sliced square portions.
