Although Paula Deen doesn't have a recipe available for tuna noodle casserole, she has one for chicken noodle casserole on her website. Paula Deen has several other tuna-related recipes, such as tuna steaks with lemon pepper butter, grilled tuna with pineapple chipotle salsa and grilled tuna with olive tapenade.
To make Paula Deen's chicken noodle casserole, sauté 1 finely chopped onion in 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter until the onion softens, and then add 1 minced garlic clove and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. After two minutes of cooking, stirring often, mix in 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of milk and 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
Once the cheese melts, add 2 cups of cooked and shredded chicken, 4 cups of cooked egg noodles and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Stir all the ingredients together, and spoon the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the top of the casserole with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Once the cheese starts to bubble, remove the casserole from the oven, and allow it to cool down a little before serving.
