Paula Deen offers two recipes for glazed pecans: pecan praline morsels and cinnamon toast pecans. Food Network categorizes both recipes as easy, and both take less than one hour to prepare.
To make pecan praline morsels, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven preheats, combine 2 cups of whole pecans, 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar and 4 tablespoons of heavy cream in a medium mixing bowl. Stir until the ingredients are evenly combined.
Spray a square baking pan with cooking spray, then spread the pecan mixture into the pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until the coating is dry and begin stirring halfway through the baking process. Remove from the oven and stir the pecans again, then allow to cool. Store the praline morsels in an airtight container.
To make cinnamon toast pecans, preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Stir together 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 tablespoons of light corn syrup, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add 4 cups of pecan halves and toss to coat.
Spread the coated pecans into a single layer in a large pan. Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Allow the pecans to cool before eating, and store in an airtight container.
