Overnight oats is a breakfast dish that requires soaking oats in liquid for at least five hours. It is a versatile recipe that allows for many different adaptations and mix-ins.
To make overnight oats, mix one part oats with one part liquid. Use old-fashioned oats for the best results and any kind of dairy or non-dairy milk. Add half a banana and 1 teaspoon of chia seeds. Stir in any other preferred mix-ins, such as nuts, coconut, fruit, spices or protein powders.
Add the ingredients to a container and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight. Overnight oats keep for about two days.
