Muscle Milk is considered a source protein and nutrients, but it is not necessarily safe. In fact, due to research, Muscle Milk is more often seen as a "risk" than that of a benefit. Muscle Milk has high levels of metals, such as lead, arsenic and mercury, states Consumer Reports.
The higher levels of homocysteine creates a greater risk for blood clots, stroke and cardiac complications. Drinking high amounts of regular milk or Muscle Milk is not recommended for those women that are pregnant or nursing. Those with kidney problems, diabetes and cardiovascular conditions are also at risk, if they regularly consume Muscle Milk.
