Mrs. T’s Pierogies and About.com both provide recipes for Mrs. T’s Pierogies. Both recipes require minimal preparation time. One recipe includes meat and the other includes cheese.
The recipe from Mrs. T’s Pierogies requires sautéing 1 box of Mrs. T’s mini classic cheddar pierogies in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Set the pierogies aside. Slice 4 strips of bacon cut into 1-inch slices and cook them. Add 8-ounces of roasted chicken strips and 2 cups of sliced kale. Sauté the ingredients until the chicken and kale cook.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of whole grain mustard. Toss the ingredients with the cooked pierogies.
The About.com recipe requires preheating an oven to 350 degrees F. Pour two jars of Alfredo sauce into a large saucepan. Add 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese. Stir and heat the ingredients cook until the cheese melts.
Pour 1/2 cup of the cheese sauce on the bottom of a glass baking dish. Place two boxes of Mrs. T's potato pierogies over the sauce. Cover the pierogies with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese over the dish.
Cover the dish with foil and bake it for 40 minutes. Uncover the dish and bake it until the casserole is bubbling and the pierogies are hot.
