One of the featured recipes on MrFood.com is Apple Cinnamon Dump Cake. The recipe uses pre-made and packaged ingredients for an easy dessert. Start by spreading two 21-ounce cans of apple pie filling on the bottom of a greased 9-by-13-inch pan. Mix together a box of yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup cinnamon chips, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
Sprinkle the dry ingredients over the apple filling, then top with 1/2 cup melted butter. Bake the cake for 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Serve warm or cold and with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Another featured recipe is the Shortcut Chicken 'n' Dumplings that uses a slow cooker for preparation. In the slow cooker, combine 2 cups of pulled rotisserie chicken, two cans condensed cream of chicken soup, 2 cups of water and 2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables, along with 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Gently mix in a can of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits cut into quarters. Cook the chicken for four hours on low or two hours on high.
