To make a Boston Cocktail by the recipe from the "Mr. Boston Deluxe Bartender’s Guide," mix 3/4 ounces of dry gin, 3/4 ounces of apricot nectar liqueur, 1/4 ounce of grenadine and 1/4 ounce of lemon juice. Shake it with ice, and pour into a tall cocktail glass. To make the Headless Horseman, fill a Collins glass with 2 ounces of vodka and 3 dashes Angostura bitters. Add some ice and ginger ale, and stir the cocktail.
To make a Boston Cooler, shake 2 or 3 ounces of rum, 1/4 ounces of simple syrup, 1/2 ounce of lemon juice and some ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour the mixture into a 12-ounce glass and fill it with ginger ale or club soda. Garnish the cocktail with a spiral of orange or lemon peel.
To make a Between the Sheets (also called the Boston Sidecar), mix 3/4 ounces of brandy, 3/4 ounces of white rum, 3/4 ounces of triple sec and 1/2 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice. Shake the mixture with ice, and pour it into a cocktail glass.
