To approximate McDonald's iced mocha, freeze 1 1/2 cups of coffee in ice cube trays, and blend the coffee cubes with 2 cups of milk, 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup and 1/4 cup of sugar. Serve the drink with cool whip, and drizzle chocolate syrup on top.
Make the drink less sweet by adding less sugar, or change the thickness of the drink by adjusting the amount of milk and ice. Substitute caramel syrup for chocolate syrup to make the drink caramel-flavored. Alternatively, omit the syrups for a plain iced coffee. Do not blend the drink for too long to make the drink more icy.
Another recipe for McDonald's mocha calls for heavy whipping cream and crushed ice. To make it, coat the bottom of a glass with 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup, and top it with 1 cup of crushed ice. Mix 1 package of instant iced coffee with 8 ounces of water and 3 tablespoons of whipping cream. Top the drink with the coffee mixture, and drizzle more chocolate syrup on top.
Alternatively, make a McDonald's hot caramel mocha by microwaving 2 tablespoons of hot coffee with 1 tablespoon of chocolate sauce, 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce and 1/4 cup of milk for 35 to 40 seconds. Mix well, and stir in 7 ounces of hot coffee. Top the drink with whipped topping, and drizzle it with 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce.
