Eating Well offers a sesame tamari vinaigrette recipe recommended for Asian-style meals and salads or for drizzling on grilled chicken breast or shrimp. To make this tamari vinaigrette, whisk 1/4 cup each rice vinegar and orange juice with 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce or tamari, 1 tablespoon each honey and toasted sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger. Combine the ingredients well, and then transfer the vinaigrette to a jar or other container before refrigerating it for up to a week. The recipe makes 3/4 cups of sauce.
One Green Planet recommends tamari sauce as a low-sodium substitute for salt in recipes and recommends using it as a dipping sauce for spring rolls and croutons and as a dressing for soba noodles and salads. One Green Planet’s website offers recipes that call for tamari sauce, including Asian slaw salad and Thai tofu vegetables rolls.Learn more about Cooking
