Mock Skor Bars

Preheat an oven to 350 F and line a 13 x 9-inch pan with parchment paper. Position the crackers on the pan in an even arrangement.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, and then stir in the brown sugar until it melts and the mixture is smooth. Bring the sugar and butter mixture to a boil. Stir it constantly until it is bubbly and smooth, and then boil for 2 minutes. Pour the mixture over the crackers.
Bake the crackers in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven, and then sprinkle the chocolate chips on top evenly. Return the pan to the oven long enough for the chips on top the crackers to melt. Remove the pan from the oven, and then use a spatula to smooth out the chocolate on the crackers' tops.
Refrigerate or freeze the pan long enough for the chocolate to set. Break the crackers apart, if necessary, and serve.
