To make a Scorpion Bowl, you need four large decorative cocktail glasses or bowls and decorative cocktail sticks or skewers and umbrellas to serve with. For the drink itself, you need a few different types of alcohol: 2 ounces each gin, 151 proof rum, light rum and vodka and 1 ounce dark rum. For mixers, you need 8 ounces orange juice (preferably fresh), 10 ounces pineapple juice, 3 ounces lemon juice (preferably fresh) and 2 ounces grenadine. You also need 3 cups crushed ice. For garnish, use four pineapple chunks and eight maraschino cherries
Place ice into a large pitcher. Pour all spirits and liquid ingredients over the ice in the pitcher, and stir well.
Pour cocktails into four decorative cocktail glasses or bowls. The use of ceramic cocktail bowls for this drink is very effective. You may strain out the ice if desired. Skewer pineapple chunks and maraschino cherries on decorative cocktail sticks, and rest the garnish in your cocktails at the edge of the glass. Use decorative items such as umbrellas, if desired.
