One recipe to cook sauerkraut in a crock pot is to brown bacon, chopped onion and chopped green peppers in a pan. Put the sauerkraut in the crock pot, then add the browned ingredients. Finally, add a chopped head of cabbage, sausage and some tomatoes, and cook for six hours.
A simpler recipe is for cooks who just want cooked sauerkraut. First, soak the sauerkraut in some water for five minutes. Then drain and rinse the raw sauerkraut in a colander.
