Sour Cream Dip Recipe
This quick and easy recipe for sour cream dip was originally featured in Cooking Light magazine and is hosted on the My Recipes website. The original recipe uses reduced-fat sour cream and mayonnaise; however, full-fat ingredients work just as well.

Peel and finely chop the onion. Mince the garlic and the chives and set the chives aside.
In a small skillet, heat up some oil over medium-high heat. Sautee the onion and garlic for 4 minutes and season the mixture with 1/8 teaspoon salt. Turn down the heat and cook for an additional 6 minutes. Let the mixture cool slightly before proceeding.
Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, chives and seasoning together.
Stir the onion mixture into the sour cream mixture. Serve chilled with chips, bread or veggies.
