Homemade Play Dough With Kool-Aid Recipe

Homemade play dough is very easy to prepare and takes around half an hour to make. The Kool-Aid in the recipe provides plenty of color and scent. This recipe was originally published on the Kraft Recipes website.

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 package of Kool-Aid
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  1. Mix the dry ingredients
  2. Mix the flour, salt, Kool-Aid and cream of tartar together in a saucepan. Stir the mixture thoroughly to blend it.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients
  4. Add the water and oil to the Kool-Aid mixture and stir well.

  5. Cook the play dough
  6. Put the saucepan on the stove at medium heat. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes until it starts to form into a ball.

  7. Cool the play dough
  8. Put the play dough on a plate and let it cool before using.

Homemade play dough can be stored in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag.
