To make pilau rice, cook the desired quantity of basmati rice along with chopped onion, garlic, cloves and chicken bouillon in water. When the rice is completely cooked, stir fry it in cooking oil along with dehydrated apricots.
To cook 1 cup of basmati rice for the pilau rice, first add 2 cups of water to an 8-quart pot, and allow it to come to a rolling boil. When the water is boiling, add the basmati rice to it.
Add 1 tablespoon of finely chopped garlic, 1 cup of chopped onions, 1/2 teaspoon of cloves and 2 tablespoons of chicken bouillon to the contents in the pot. Cover the pot, and allow the ingredients to simmer for about 20 minutes.
Then, pour 1/4 cup of peanut oil onto a skillet, and allow the oil to warm up over medium-high heat on a stove for about five minutes. When the oil becomes hot, transfer the cooked contents of the pot to the skillet. Add 1 cup of dehydrated apricots to the mixture, and constantly stir the mixture for around five minutes.
When the mixture begins sizzling in the pan, switch off the heat, and transfer the cooked pilau rice to a serving bowl.
