To make a peach cobbler cocktail, mix rye whiskey, bitters, peach nectar, frozen peaches and mint leaves. Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, add a dash of fresh lemon juice, and muddle gently. Pour the contents of the shaker into a large wine glass filled with crushed ice. The melting ice mellows the rye whiskey.

A similar recipe muddles 3 mint leaves with 2 fresh peach slices and 1 teaspoon of superfine sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add 1 1/2 ounces of rye whiskey, 3/4 ounces of lemon juice and crushed ice. Shake roughly, and pour into an old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and a slice of fresh peach.
